Tech On Demand – Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tech On Demand (“Tech On Demand,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, contact us, or use our in-home and virtual technology support and cybersecurity education services (collectively, the “Services”).
Who We Are
Tech On Demand is based in Houston, Texas. We provide in-home IT and cybersecurity help and education for senior citizens and older adults, and we also work with care managers, retirement communities, trust officers, and legal guardians as appropriate.
What This Policy Covers
-
Information collected through our website (for example, contact forms, scheduling inquiries, and analytics).
-
Information collected when you communicate with us by phone, email, text, or other channels.
-
Information collected during in-home sessions, virtual sessions, and remote-access support.

-
Account-related information you choose to share: usernames, account recovery details, and related information needed to assist you (for example, email providers, Medicare portals, or banking websites).
-
Payment information: limited billing details necessary to process payments (typically handled by third-party payment processors).
-
Website usage information: IP address, browser/device information, pages visited, and similar analytics data collected via cookies or comparable technologies.
-

Sensitive Information and Financial/Benefits Accounts
Some clients ask us to help with websites or apps that may contain sensitive personal information (for example, Medicare, banking, retirement, or identity-related accounts). We provide technical assistance and education only. We do not provide legal, tax, medical, or financial advice, and we do not initiate transfers of funds or make financial decisions on your behalf.
Session Recording and Remote Access
For client protection, accurate documentation, and session overviews, Tech On Demand records sessions as follows:
-
In-home sessions: recorded in their entirety from the moment our personnel step onto the residence/property until we leave the property.
-
Virtual support and remote-access sessions: recorded in their entirety, including screen and audio where applicable.
Recordings help us create an overview of what was covered in your session and can also be used for quality assurance, training, dispute resolution, and insurance purposes. We limit access to recordings to authorized personnel and, when requested and appropriate, the client and/or an authorized representative (subject to identity/authority verification).
How We Use Information
We may use the information we collect to:
-
Provide, operate, and improve our Services, including troubleshooting and education.
-
Schedule appointments and communicate with you about services, updates, and follow-ups.
-
Create and deliver session summaries/overviews and recommendations.
-
Process payments and manage subscriptions.
-
Maintain safety, prevent fraud, and protect our clients and business.
-
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
-
Analyze website performance and improve our website and marketing (where applicable).
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in limited circumstances, such as:
-
Service providers: vendors that help us run our business (for example, scheduling, payment processing, cloud storage, analytics, and communications).
-
Authorized representatives: a care manager, trust officer, legal guardian, or attorney-in-fact, when you authorize their involvement or when appropriate authority is provided.
-
Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or prevent suspected fraud.
-
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (subject to appropriate protections).
Fraud and Security Incident Protocol (Client-First Notification)
If we suspect fraud, a scam, account takeover, or unauthorized access during a session, we follow a client-first protocol: we pause, notify the client, and—when needed and feasible—notify the client’s authorized representative/primary helper before taking remediation steps. We seek consent before steps like password resets, account recovery actions, or contacting third parties, unless immediate action is required to prevent ongoing harm and the client is present and agrees.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to operate and understand how visitors use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled. If we use third-party analytics, those providers may collect information about your device and browsing activity on our site.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing Services, maintaining records, resolving disputes, and complying with legal or insurance obligations.
Session recordings are generally retained for 90 days and then deleted, unless a longer retention is needed for a dispute, insurance, a legal hold, compliance obligations, or as otherwise permitted by law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Biometric Information
Our recordings may incidentally capture images of faces and voices. We do not collect or use biometric identifiers for the purpose of uniquely identifying individuals, and we do not sell biometric identifiers. If our practices change in a way that would require notice or consent under applicable Texas law, we will provide the required notice and obtain consent before doing so.
Children’s Privacy
Our website and Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and the nature of our data processing, you may have rights regarding your personal information (for example, rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of certain personal data, and to opt out of certain processing such as targeted advertising). Texas provides certain consumer privacy rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) effective July 1, 2024, and other states may provide similar rights.
To submit a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity and authority (especially if a representative is making the request).
Do Not Sell or Share
Tech On Demand does not sell your personal information. If we engage in targeted advertising in the future that qualifies for an opt-out under applicable law, we will provide a method to opt out.
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
